Christy Vail founded The Familiar Place after walking alongside her own grandparents through every stage of senior living — from independent living to assisted living to memory care. She saw firsthand how much it mattered when a room felt personal.
For her grandfather, it was a small mantel she created with his cowboy bronze, the family brand, and a familiar clock. He thought the electric fireplace was a little silly. But later, he told her it brought him comfort. That moment became the heart of everything The Familiar Place does.
